FAQ

Are your coaches certified instructors?       Yes, all of our instructors are USA Gymnastics professional members who have been safety certified and have undergone background checks. We think we have the most competent and caring coaches around!

Can my child try a class for free?     No. We offer a try-out class for $25 (Ocean Air location) and $30 (EDU learning center at Rancho Bernardo), which will go toward your monthly-prorated tuition,if you decide to continue our program. Please contact us to schedule your class today.

What should my child wear to class?     Anything comfortable goes! Girls may want to wear a leotard, but both boys and girls may wear soft clothing like sweats or shorts and a t-shirt. Our only request is that the clothing be free of zippers and buttons. We prefer the kids to wear white socks or rhythmic gymnastics toe-shoes. Also we prefer girls to wear black color outfits. Long hair should be securely tied back.

Is there a registration fee? Yes. There is a $40 registration fee for all classes at San Diego Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy. This is the cost to have the children insured while in class. The registration fee is due in September. It is not prorated throughout the year for new enrollments. You have to pay a registration fee after your try-out class.

When is tuition due? Tuition is due on or before the 1st day of the month.

What happens if I miss a class? We have a very liberal make up policy at San Diego Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy.  Missed workouts can be made up on an hour-for-hour basis during any of the other regularly scheduled class times. Make ups must be completed within the same month of the class that was missed. We ask that you call ahead for a make up to ensure that we have enough staff on hand.

How do the kids advance to the next level? At each level, there are certain skills that have to be mastered before a child can advance to the next level. We have evaluation sheets that we hand out at the end of the sessions I-IV. The instructor is the person who makes the decision to move a child to the next level. They will sign that form to show that the child is moving

up. They may even approach a parent after class and let them know that they
recommend the child move up. If you ever have any questions, please approach the instructor after class or give them a call. They will be happy to speak with you.

Do you offer birthday parties? No, we don’t offer birthday parties. Check the birthday party section of other San Diego Gymnastics websites for
more information.

Is there anything else I should know? Just that you’re going to have a great time, so come on in!
